For the first time ever the Pancake Bell has been rung on Shrove Tuesday from premises other than the church’s own. However, this did not invalidate the event and certainly did not mean that we didn’t enjoy ourselves. We availed ourselves of the hospitality of Unity Hall and enjoyed fellowship, catch-ups, ringing the bell, meeting old friends – and most of all delicious pancakes with a filling of your choice. It was good that we entertained new folks too and hope that we will see them again next year. The tradition continues!
